Human Nature’s lemongrass essential oil is sourced from the Alternative Indigenous Development Foundation Inc. (AIDFI) in Negros Occidental, Philippines. AIDFI provides renewable, inexpensive technologies to rural folk to help supply the basic needs of water, sanitation & energy.
Human Nature Founders Anna Meloto-Wilk & Dylan Wilk were recognized by the Schwab Foundation as one of twenty-six global social Entrepreneur Awardees for 2012.
The winners were selected in recognition of their innocative approaches and demonstrated impact. Hilde Schwab, Co-Founder/Chairperson of the Schwab Foudndation for Social Entrepreneurship, presented the awards during a reception at the World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting of New Champions on September 11 in Tianjin, People's Republic of China.
Human Nature was awarded one of the most presitigious business awards in the world! In 2011, Human Nature received The Ernst & Young Social Entrepreneur Award for building an organization that champions social transformation for the marginalized and the poor.
The award is important to us because it highlights commercial success in business while making a positive, direct and significant impact to underpriviliged communitites and our environment.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), the world's largest animal rights organization, has awarded us their presitigious certificate of appreciation for supporting the prevention of animal suffering by not testing our products on animals and for not incorporating carmine in our cosmetics line.
Human Nature has been added to PETA's Caring Consumer Program, Cruelty-Free Shopping Guide and online cruelty-free company lists.
In 2012 Furry Kind co-founder and Human Nature Global Ambassador Rachel Grant was specially requested to attend a private luncheon in honor of His Excellency Benigno S. Aquino, President of the Philippines. The invitation came from Hillary Clinton and took place in Washington DC, USA.
A handful of Filipino-Americans doing influential good works in the world had been selected as special guests for the Philippine President's state visit's honorary luncheon. Charity giver and social entrepreneur, Rachel Grant, was extremely grateful and honored to attend.
Congratulations to "Kia", Furry Kind's rescue dog entrant, winner of Cesar Millan's "Groomers to the Rescue" contest!
Kia was discovered in New York at Southampton Animal Shelter where she was groomed by Furry Kind co-founder Rachel Grant. Kia's incredible transformation was achieved using Furry Kind's natural Cocomutt Shampoo.
Groomers to the Rescue is a wonderful contest to help raise awareness of homeless pets & to encourage shelter dog adoption.

The 2012 World Economic Forum held in Bangkok, Thailand brought together 600 leaders, policy makers, society's movers and shakers from 50 different countries. Human Nature founders, Anna Meloto-Wilk and Dylan Wilk, were among the few delegates selected to represent the Philippines and the social enterprise sector.
In 2010, AIDFI won the international BBC World Challenge with its perfection of the hydraulic water pump that provides water to remote villages. With this technology, the lemongrass farmers in Negros are able to produce lemongrass essential oil for Human Nature.
