It all began with a cosmetic junkie, a radical Englishman, a harassed new mom and a baby.
Human Nature was the brainchild of Anna Meloto-Wilk, Dylan Wilk and Camille Meloto. All three were Gawad Kalinga volunteers exposed to the harsh realities of poverty in the Philippines and burned with the desire to do more for the country.
trade is fair!
Farmers and workers at the beginning of the chain don’t always get a fair share of the benefits of trade.
As firm believers in fair trade principles, Furry Kind by Human Nature buys raw materials from its community-based suppliers at fair trade prices, and sometimes even above market prices if the market price is not enough to provide a good quality of life for the farmers.
Anna’s passion for the environment blossomed with her first child in 2005. Together with her husband, Dylan, the successful British multi-millionaire who gave up his fast cars and wealthy lifestyle in England to work for the poor in the Philippines, the couple decided to use cloth diapers after reading that it takes 500 years for disposable diapers to biodegrade and that many of the chemicals in them are toxic. Their desire to live a more sustainable, ethical lifestyle extended to the products they used on their children and themselves, opting for fewer chemicals and less stuff in general, resulting

Camille, on the other hand was already experimenting with cosmetics as early as elementary school! She eventually became a freelance make-up artist and joined a cosmetics company after college. However, her longing to merge her passion for cosmetics and her conscience to help the country and save the environment was still waiting to be fulfilled.
A few years ago, I noticed canine cancer was on the rise and I suddenly became very particular with how I cared for my dog, Brutus. I learned that chemicals we use in household cleaning products and on our lawns (where pets roll around & walk their paws) contain cancer-causing agents. I realized many pet products contain tons of these toxic chemicals as well. That’s why I teamed up with natural products experts Human Nature to create a unique pet brand free from harmful chemicals so our furry friends can have healthier, longer lives.
Kind and gentle to pet paws and human hands, Furry Kind is created using only natural, sustainably harvested ingredients with 100% no harmful chemicals, offering you a life-giving alternative to the harsh, toxic chemical cosmetics currently available.
Your dog loves you unconditionally - that's the best love on earth! So surely your pet deserves the earth's best! Furry Kind by Human Nature contains carefully selected, deftly distilled, and perfectly blended goodness from the lush, tropical islands of the Philippines. It's sheer paradise for your pooch!

Living in the US with Dylan for a year, Anna noticed a growing trend of a afforable, natural and ethically-acquired products entering the mainstream market. Formerly found in just boutiques and high-end stores, they could now be bought in supermarkets and drugstores. Camille joined them halfway through their US assignment and the sisters began more in-depth research work on natural and organic products and bringing them to the Philippines. Upon their return to the Philippines, Camille and Anna continued their research and were able to successfully collaborate with a natural formulator to create Human Nature's first line of products.
